Sports & Youth Affairs Department Government of Balochistan successfully organized 1st Balochistan Games starting from 12th to 20th March, 2023 at Quetta, in which more than forty sports competitions were held. Minister Sports Mr. Abdul Khaliq Hazara inaugurated the games on 12th March at Ayoub Stadium, Quetta.
Japan Karate Association Pakistan has been part of this mega sports event. JKA team also participated in opening and closing ceremonies of games. JKA event was scheduled from 17th to 18th March at Tajai Khan Sports Complex, Quetta. A large number of male and female players participated in championship. The opening ceremony of JKA championship was held on 17th March Syed Feroze Shah President Pak-Japan Friendship Society Balochistan and the Order of Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette was the chief guest of inauguration ceremony. He inaugurated the JKA championship and appreciated the sincere efforts of Japan Karate Association Pakistan for promotion and development of genuine JKA karate in Pakistan. He also congratulated Hussain Ali Changezi Sensei for being elected as the President of JKA Pakistan.
Players showed their talent and skills, female players also showed the true spirit of this fighting sport. The kumite events were held according to age i.e. 12, 14,16, 18, 20 years and plus 20 years and kata event as well. The final matches and closing ceremony were held on 18th March. Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs department Mr. Ishaque Jamali was the Chief Guest and Director General Sports Department Mr. Durra Baloch accompanied him. Mr. Nasrullah provincial karate coach was also present at the occasion. They saw the final matches and appreciated the players.
At closing ceremony Mr. Ishaque Jamali and Mr. Durra Baloch awarded medals to successful players and souvenirs to officials. They showed their strong support and cooperation for JKA in Pakistan. Mr. Ishaque Jamali invited Hussain Ali Changezi Sensei to his office for meeting on agenda for further promotion of JKA.
