This November, 22-23-24, the JKA Nederland members organized the 12th edition of the JKA Nederland Memorial course.
The edition of 2024 had a great line up.
JKA HQ instructor Hirayama Shihan was visiting the Netherlands for the first time and she started teaching in a small setting. The clubmembers of the JKA Honbu dojo JKA karate do Weng in Neerbeek were surprised by her visit.
Hirayama Shihan was kind and skilled and for some members who only are practicing in the dojo a world opened up. Thank you Hirayama Shihan for this nice surprise.
At the same time the other 3 instructors Okuma Shihan, Nemoto sensei and Kurihara sensei arrived in the Netherlands.
Friday 22, the course started and as usual the JKA level was fantastic again. We trained hard, but the personal attention from the sensei’s was very evident. Students of every level received their own challenge in the training. It was great.
Sawada Shihan from Belgium also arrived in the Netherlands and it was a real honor to host 5 world class JKA instructors in our tiny country.
During the rest of the weekend every participant could count on fantastic training sessions with many learning moments. This year we welcomed no fewer than 14 nationalities to our now grown international event.
We are proud and happy that every edition is growing and that we can keep the kind and nice atmosphere during the training, but also outside the training/dojo.
The Saturday night diner party with 70 people was calm and relaxed.
We also arranged the date for next year. Please note 28-29-30 November 2025 in your calendars: it will be fantastic again!
