JKA Kirkland would like once again to thank JKA HQ and Shiina Katsutoshi Sensei for another outstanding seminar that took place from June 6 – 11. Hundreds of participants came to experience Shiina Sensei’s high intensity training. This event was held in the large arena with electrifying energy and many enthusiastic spectators.

Specialty classes were held for kumite competitors pushing them to extraordinary heights. A diligent review of the shitei and sentei katas was done throughout the week. Qualifications training contributed further to a lifelong learning experience with everyone successfully completing their grading testing. Personal growth was achieved in the holding of Dan testing.

Every participant’s experience contributed to their long life development.

Kirkland Day events for children and JKA karate demonstrations in the park. Mayor Michel Gibson visited to support our JKA Kirkland karate event.
