a) Seminar Fee　 ＊Total 8 classes will be held

①JKA Member :

[For those who will be 19 years old and above as of April 23, 2023] JPY 6,000.- per class
[For those under 19 years old as of April. 23, 2023] JPY 3,000.- per class

 

②Non-JKA Member :

[For those who will be 19 years old and above as of April 23, 2023] JPY 10,000.- per class
[For those who under 19 years old as of April 23, 2023] JPY 5,000.- per class

 

b) Examination Fee : (Dan / Qualification exam )

If you are going to take Dan or Qualification exam, you have to pay the exam fee  of JPY 5,500 and the registration fee at the application. Please see the price list ( JPY ) below;

Any person who is eligible should inform the HQ in advance by e-mail to: keiribu-9@jka.or.jp  with the copies of “Research for the Seminars” page of the JKA passport.

 

12．Note:

a) About Seminar and Examination

• Participation in the seminar or examination will be denied if any of the following applies.
  • If you test positive for COVID-19 and do not meet the criteria for cancellation of self-isolation set by Japanese government. * For your reference (from the page of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare) → https://www.mhlw.go.jp/stf/seisakunitsuite/bunya/0000164708_00079.html
  • If you have a fever of 37.5°C or higher (including fever within the past 48 hours)
  • if you have symptoms that may be infected with the COVID-19, such as coughing, sore throat, chest discomfort, and fatigue.
  • If you have a family member or close acquaintance who is suspected of being infected with the COVID-19.

*If you are not feeling well on the day of the event and decide not to participate, we will issue a refund. Refunds will also be given to those who are not able to participate due to temperature checks.

• Neither application nor payment can be accepted on the seminar day. Please apply and pay in advance.
• We request that all participants in the seminars and exams wear a mask. (No need to wear a mouth shield.)
• If you develop COVID-19 within two weeks of participating in the camp, please contact the JKA-HQ immediately.

 

b) About Seminar

• Each seminar targets the different Dan/Kyu. Please be sure to have appropriate class for your rank.
• For women, please participate in the class appropriate to your Dan/Kyu in the 1st to 6th seminars.  In the 7th and 8th seminars, women should participate in the women’s class.
• 【The 6th seminar (Judge Seminar) on April 22(Sat)】
  • This seminar is open to those who have not judge qualification. The contents are useful for all participants.
  • This seminar is served as for renewal of A class judge qualification, too. A class Judge holders who complete this seminar will receive a stamp on your JKA passport. Please don’t forget to submit the JKA Passport at the check-in counter on the day.
• 【The 7th seminar on April 22(Sat)】
  • Examinees of Dan or Quallification ( Instructor / Examiner ) exam will not be able to attend the 7th seminar.
• 【The 8th seminar (Seminar for the examinee of judge qualification) on April 23 (Sun)】
  • This seminar is for examinees of Judge qualification only. We highly recommend the examinees to take part in this special seminar.

 

c) About Examination

• Only the participants of the seminar can apply the exam at this camp. If you want to take exam, you must attend at least one seminar during Camp.
• Exams are only for JKA members.
• Current Dan or Qualification information (conferral date etc) must be informed when you apply the exam.
• Examinees of 6th or 7th Dan have to submit a research dissertation about Techniques by one week prior to the camp. Please decide it by each person about the theme of the research dissertation.
• The new rule of “individual membership” is applied for Dan/License exams at this camp from this time. Every examinee needs to have their membership cards issued by JKA-HQ or register newly.
  • The representative of the country/organization should submit the registration form to JKA-HQ by April 12 (Wed) at 5 PM in Japan time.  The submission of this form is deemed as the evidence of the representative’s approval for the examinee to take exams. (Form has been provided by JKA HQ to all representatives)
  • Only the listed members can take exams.
  • All listed examinees are sure to pay JPY 600 of registration fee or renewal fee (in case expired) at check-in time of exam date.
  • The card is issued after exam.
  • Card is valid for one year from the date of issue.

 

d) About check in

• 【April 21】
  • Those who will join the 2nd Seminar or the 3rd Seminar (Class 3-5) or 4th Seminar (Class 3-5) : Check in at the Bunkyo Sports Center
  • Those who will join the 3rd Seminar (Class 1-2) or 4th Seminar (Class 1-2) without joining 2nd Seminar : Check in at the HQ
• 【April 22】
  • Those who attend the 5th, 6th, 7th Seminar : Check in at the Bunkyo Sports Center
  • Those who attend only Dan or Qualification (Instructor / Examiner) exam : Check in at the HQ

– Check in counter is different on April 21 and 22 as mentioned above. Please check your schedule carefully and go whichever appropriate for you.

 

e) at Facilities

• 【JKA-HQ dojo】
  • We will measure your body temperature at the HQ entrance. Anyone with a fever (37.5°C or higher, including fever within the last 48 hours) will not be allowed to enter the facility.
  • Please wear a mask at all times while in the building.
    
  • Disinfectants are installed in various places in the building including the entrance. Please be sure to use it when you come and enter the building, enter or leave the Dojo or changing room.
  • Eating and drinking are prohibited in the HQ (except for rehydration to prevent heat stroke).
  • You can use the changing room and shower room, but the use of lockers is prohibited. Each participant should bring a large bag, put a change of clothes in it, and bring it to the dojo.
  • You cannot use the equipment on the second floor.
• [Bunkyo Sports Center]
  • We will measure your body temperature at the entrance. Anyone with a fever (37.5°C or higher, including fever within the last 48 hours) will not be allowed to enter the facility.
  • Please wear a mask at all times while in the building.
  • Eating and drinking are prohibited in the Bunkyo Sports Center (except for rehydration to prevent heat stroke).
  • Please refrain from talking in the changing room and keep to the 15-minute stay.
  • The use of hair dryers is prohibited.

 

f) Seminar and Exam flow :

• 【JKA-HQ dojo】
  1. At the entrance, take a temperature and physical condition check, disinfect hands and fingers, and check in the seminar or the examination.
     
  2. Change clothes in the changing room on the 2nd floor, take all your belongings and move to the venue (Dojo on the 3rd and 4th floors).
  3. Participate in seminar or exam.
  4. Seminar participant : Leave immediately the HQ after changing clothes.
  5. Dan examinee  :  After confirming the results on April 22, successful applicant can receive stamps on the JKA passport on the day and Dan certificate at the closing ceremony on April 23. Unsuccessful applicant gets a refund of the registration fee at the office on April 22.
  6. Qualification  examinee : After confirming the results on April 23, successful applicants receive a new License card and stamps on the JKA passport, and unsuccessful applicants get a refund of the registration fee at the office on the day.
• 【Bunkyo Sports Center】
  1. At the entrance, take a temperature and physical condition check, disinfect hands and fingers.
  2. Enter the building, go down the stairs and check in the seminar.
     
  3. Change clothes in the changing room, take all your belongings and move to the arena.
  4. Attend seminar.
  5. Leave the building immediately after changing clothes.

 

g) Others :

• Please be noted that lunch will NOT be provided this time.
