JKA Kids Smile Project
The Japan Karate Association Headquarters, a public interest incorporated association, is participating in the annual junior high school workplace experience held by Bunkyo Ward. Among them, the idea was proposed: “create characters and promote them.” This proposal is an idea that will lead to social contributions beyond workplace experience. We will be holding charity activities using the characters created by the junior high school students who participated this time. As the first event, the character will be printed on a jute bag and the sales proceeds will be donated to the international NGO “Save the Children.” In the future, this idea will be developed as a project with the strong theme of “contribution to society through their own hands” by JKA (Japan Karate Association) children around the world. This project involves accepting illustrations from children, turning them into merchandise, and donating the proceeds from sales. Children will actively experience social contribution and develop a sense of solidarity and contribution that transcends borders. Experiences that are creative and useful to society will not only help children learn planning, execution and communication skills, but also realize that their actions have the power to change the world. The Japan Karate Association intends to work on this project together with children and parents to make it happen. We aim to create a project that is proud of with an international perspective.
