【GERMANY】4th Spring Course with Naka Tatsuya-shihan in Bad Camberg, Germany

The International Spring Course with Naka Tatsuya-shihan took place for the fourth time in Bad Camberg, Germany, from 29 to 31 March.

With over 300 participants from 13 countries, this year’s course was even better attended than last year.

Naka-shihan taught the basic principles of Budo Karate through an intensive Kihon, as well as through the Heian Katas, Taikyoku shodan, Jitte and Jion. Naka-shihan explained in detail which principles underlie the individual katas and demonstrated this very clearly using some applications from the individual katas.

In a separate lecture, which is a special feature of the course in Bad Camberg, Naka-shihan explained central aspects of Budo Karate using individual terms and Japanese expressions, the original meaning of which he discussed in detail. Through these in-depth explanations, the participants discovered many of the basics of our JKA karate in a completely new way. Naka-shihan also answered questions from the participants and was readily available for lively discussions after the training sessions.

The response of the participants to the course and Naka-shihan’s way of teaching was overwhelmingly positive and we are already looking forward to organising the Spring Course with Naka-shihan again next year.
