JKA WF Israel annual Gasshuku for 2022 was held in Jerusalem and in Galilee from 22 to 24 December 2022. This event led by Ryosuke Shimizu Sensei from JKA HQ was held in Israel for the first time since the Covid epidemic. In the first two days of training attention was given to Kihon and Kumite bases. Shimizu Sensei shared his vast knowledge with us in excellent Kihon and Kumite exercises for beginners and advanced, which can be implemented each day in the dojo. The third day was held in Julis village in Galilee- the focus was given to advanced training Kihon, Kata and Kumite.

When the third day ended Shimizu Sensei managed black belt grading for Shodan-Sandan which taught us where we must prove!

Eventually there were more than 200 participants in this Gasshuku, a special event that combined 4 traditions: Budo, Christmas days, Jewish Hanukkah and traditional Druze ceremony. We had the pleasure of hosting friends from other organizations that joined this special event with humility and willingness to learn. We would like to thank JKA HQ for supporting our event and Shimizu Sensei for his first visit to Israel with this amazing Gasshuku.
